Prince Charles receives DVD from Tony Carter, NHLS, at Royal Show 4 July 08

Prince Charles received a copy of Hedgelink's hedgerow management DVD, A cut above the rest, at the launch of this film and of Hedgelink at the Royal Show on 4 July.

HRH Prince Charles was presented with a copy of the DVD by Tony Carter, President of the National Hedgelaying Society. The Prince is Patron of the Society and is himself a keen hedge layer.

The Prince expressed his appreciation for hedgerow management and asked questions about our work as representatives of partner organisations were introduced to him.

Following the Prince's visit, Poul Christensen, Deputy Chair of Natural England, formally launched Hedgelink, followed by addresses from Tom Oliver, Head of Rural policy for the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), and Nigel Adams, consultant and film presenter.

Later, a copy of the DVD was presented to Hilary Benn, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
