'A Cut Above The Rest' DVD
Hedgerows are among the most important features of our landscape and are effectively the largest nature reserve in the country. Together with hedegrow trees, they define much of our countryside. As well as marking boundaries and controlling livestock, they now have important new roles to play in a modern, progressive countryside.
Managment is the single biggest influence on the condition of our hedgerows, and this DVD looks closely at all the options available. It recognises the life cycle of a hedge, exploring the many different types of hedges that occur and encourages the landowner to 'read' a hedge before deciding on a course of action.
The advice offered in this DVD will help us keep our rich hedgerow heritage healthy and relevant to the modern world, and offer our hedges a brighter future.
